What We Do: We are a community centered organization that provides free care for recent immigrants.
Through prenatal education, labor support, postpartum support services, donations and supply distribution BCCC strengths the support network for new parents and families. We are one of the first organizations in San Francisco to train members of the Latinx community in Spanish in order to better to serve pregnant people in their native language. As an organization we prioritize peer training, mentorship and community building. BCCC is unique in that we provide all trainings and classes for free to help empower members of our community to support each other. The trainings are taught by native Spanish speaking doulas, midwives and other professionals. We provide care that is linguistically and culturally informed by the members of our community.
What we will do with your donation: Birth Companions Community Center is a run solely by volunteers. The rent, supplies and trainings are all funded through donations, many of which come from the founders and doulas themselves. A donation to BCCC will ensure that we are able to keep our programs running and continue to support the community. Help us keep this dream alive by supporting Birth Companion Community Center and in turn improving the lives of recent immigrants and their families in San Francisco.
