Hello beautiful humans,

My name is Teal—a Mexican migrant, queer dancer, DJ, and community organizer rooted in pleasure activism, collective joy, and the transformative power of movement. I create spaces where BIPOC and queer folks can come together, breathe deeper, and be fully ourselves.

Why I'm Reaching Out
I’ve reached a turning point in my journey. I now make most of my living through my art—and I’m dreaming bigger than ever. But my tools can’t keep up.

My current DJ mixer is too small for the layered, immersive sets I want to create. It’s limiting what I can offer at our events—spaces that deserve everything. With your support, I’ll be able to invest in the equipment I need to rise to this moment.

What Your Support Makes Possible
Upgrading my gear means I can:

Craft richer, fuller DJ sets that deepen the emotional and energetic impact

Grow and sustain community-centered events that offer safer, affirming space for BIPOC joy

Continue to center and amplify marginalized voices through music, storytelling, and movement

- About my Work -
I co-produce and DJ at Thirsty Thurzday, a weekly queer dance party in Olympia that centers BIPOC queer joy. I also co-produce and DJ Sin Nombre Sin Fronteras / Dyke Night, a nightlife space by and for BIPOC folks—the only one of its kind in this city.

In a world that constantly threatens our existence, joy is resistance. These events are not just parties—they are acts of survival, reclamation, and collective care. They’re places where we grieve, celebrate, flirt, scream, and dance it all out. Where we make space for each other to feel everything, and not feel alone.

Now more than ever, when violence and erasure are constant, we need spaces where BIPOC queer folks can be loud, tender, messy, and free. That’s what I’m fighting for every time I show up behind the decks—and I need your help to keep doing it.

How You Can Help
Any contribution, big or small, makes a difference. Here’s how you can support:

Donate – Every dollar helps me get closer to better tools and brighter possibilities

Share – Spread the word to your people, your chosen family, and your communities

Thank you for believing in me, in this work, and in the power of art as resistance. Together, we can build a world where liberation feels like a dance floor full of our people, holding each other through the beat.

With love, gratitude, and solidarity,
Teal
