Support Bill Walker's Hurricane Relief Efforts
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Bill Walker, a retired pediatric chaplain, living in Northwest Arkansas, who was very moved seeing the devastation caused by Hurricane Milton in North Carolina. I was so moved that when I heard that one could donate an RV to someone who had lost a residence due to the flooding, my wife and I determined to donate our fifth-wheel.
To prepare for and transport our unit to Camper Care, who is staging their operation at the Billy Graham Cove Retreat in Asheville, NC, I incurred expenses that I charged to credit cards. I would like to receive assistance to pay off these expenses ($2,149.49, tires, truck repair, and fuel). All funds in excess of my expenses will be donated to the One Kingdom Relief Effort based in W. Monroe, LA, who have workers in North Carolina.
On October 22, 2024 I began the 2,156 mile roundtrip trek to North Carolina and delivered our unit on October 24th.
The devastion is tremendous and rebuilding and reconstruction will continue for years to come. Two bodies were recovered the day I delivered our unit. Many other families continue to wait for word about their missing love ones. Please pray for all affected from this monster storm and donate because most familes who lost homes had no flood insurance. Interestingly, many residents thought this area was immune from such a monumental storm.
