**Help Us Rebuild Our Lives After Losing Everything**
My cousin Bilal and I used to live in the same building in northern Gaza. During recent events, the building, which housed both of our homes and storage facilities filled with goods worth a great deal, was bombed. We lost everything we owned, from personal belongings to our sources of income. Our cars and businesses were completely destroyed, and we also lost our university education, which has been on hold for a year and a half. Our dreams and goals for the future came to a complete halt.
At the start of the war, we were forced to flee south more than 10 times after being threatened to leave. Now, we live in a small tent under inhumane conditions. We endure extreme heat during the day and freezing cold at night, all while trying to cope with insects and snakes that sometimes attack us at night as we sleep.
We face unbearable daily challenges. We rely on burning wood for cooking since we have no gas, exposing ourselves to toxic smoke that has harmed our health. Additionally, we suffer from a lack of clean water, waiting in long lines just to get two buckets of water per day, which barely suffice for drinking, cooking, and basic hygiene. We live in a state of despair and sadness. We have no resources for work or money to buy food, which has become unimaginably expensive. We humbly ask for your help—any amount you can donate, even as little as $10, will make a big difference in our lives. Every donation will help us cover our basic needs and stand on our feet again.
