The Newark and Arcadia areas of Wayne County, many of our kids ride their bikes every day. However, far too many of them ride without helmets, putting them at risk for serious, preventable injuries. Access to safety should be for everyone.
Unlike larger districts in New York, our community doesn’t have the same level of access to helmet safety programs or local resources that provide free protective gear. I want to help change that!
I’m launching this fundraiser to purchase at least 100 high-quality, properly fitting helmets for youth in the Newark and Arcadia areas. This effort will:
• Provide free helmets to local kids who need them most
• Help teach lifelong bike safety habits
• Support parents and families who may not have access to affordable gear
• Empower our community to take safety into our own hands
Why I’m Doing This
I believe in our community’s strength. I am personally committed to covering the cost of these helmets if needed, but I know the people of Newark and we care about our kids, and we show up for each other. That’s why I’m opening this as a chance for all of us to come together, contribute what we can, and be part of this safety movement.
When we protect our kids, we invest in their future.
How You Can Help
• Every $10 donation outfits one child with a helmet.
• 100% of funds will go directly toward helmet purchases, safety resources, and community distribution efforts.
