Help Rebuild Bigwoods, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica after the Hurricane Melissa

My name is Nafesa and I am from Bigwoods District, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. Our beloved community and the entire parish have been devastated by the recent hurricane — homes destroyed, roofs torn off, roads blocked, and families left without food, water, and shelter.

Bigwoods is a close-knit community where everyone looks out for each other. Right now, we are struggling to recover. Many families have lost everything and urgently need help rebuilding their homes and lives.

This GoFundMe aims to provide emergency relief supplies — food, water, clothing, tarpaulins, and building materials — and to help restore what this storm has taken from us.

Every contribution, no matter how small, will go directly toward helping families in Bigwoods rebuild and recover.

Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and prayers. I am currently in Jamaica and will be overseeing the withdrawal of the funds personally. I will be using the money to buy additional supplies needed. I have already distributed over 300 care packages to individuals in St Elizabeth. I will allso be buying adult diapers, water, and other supplies for the Blackriver Health Center. I'm hoping to get this done by the 11/22/25
