Support Bici Xicas: Help Us Keep Rolling!
Bici Xicas needs your support to continue building a more bike-friendly Minneapolis! For the past eight years, we’ve operated as a grassroots, Xicana owned mobile bike shop offering sliding-scale bike repairs. We also refurbish bikes and offer hands-on mechanic and riding skills education.
We’ve done all of this without consistent funding—powered by community support, volunteer labor, and the belief that biking should be accessible to everyone.
Now, we’re ready to take the next step:
Becoming an established LLC so we can sustain and expand our impact.
In recent years, we’ve witnessed the heartbreaking closure of many beloved community bike shops—cornerstones of local biking culture. We don’t want to see this work disappear. That’s why we’re asking for your help.
With your support, we aim to:
- Pay for professional mechanic training and LCI (League Cycling Instructor) certification for our core members
- Invest in our business development process
- Invest in mobile repair equipment to better serve our neighbors
- Continue creating safe spaces to empower women, femmes and queer people of color who bike
At Bici Xicas, we believe in demystifying bike maintenance and creating more inclusivity when we talk about “active transportation”— putting tools and power into the hands of our community.
