Life is full of surprises, good ones and bad ones. We love to celebrate the good ones and pride in them, but what happens when you get hit with a bad surprise on a random day?

On November 4th, our mom was taken to the ER with excruciating pain. After several scans, tests, and an MRI, they found a mass in her left abdomen. That began the journey of different doctor's visits, tests, and a lot of waiting and trusting the Lord. Four weeks later, we visited the doctor and unfortunately did not get good news. The mass turned out to be a lymphoma and the only treatment is 3-6 months of chemotherapy.

If you know Bibi, you know she is a ray of sunshine, a woman full of faith, a devoted wife, mother, and the most amazing grandmother. She loves everyone she encounters and always gives her best. She serves her community so well, cares for people, and loves them how Jesus has loved her.

As we navigate the next season, we first ask for prayer for her, our dad, and us as a family; for the Lord to comfort us and continue to fill us with His joy in this season. As you might imagine, this diagnosis comes with many doctor's visits and procedures that have high costs even with health insurance. Anything that is placed in your heart and within your means is greatly appreciated and will be a blessing. Thank you for your support and love in this season. We trust God and His Sovereignty and know He is with all of us in this season.

La vida está llena de sorpresas, buenas y malas. Nos encanta celebrar las buenas sorpresas y estamos orgullosos de ellas, pero ¿qué sucede cuando una mala sorpresa en un día cualquiera?

El 4 de noviembre, nuestra mamá fue llevada a emergencias con un dolor insoportable. Después de varias exploraciones, pruebas y resonancias magnéticas, encontraron una masa en el abdomen. Ahí comenzó el camino de diferentes visitas médicas, pruebas y mucha espera y confianza en el Señor. Cuatro semanas después, visitamos al médico y lamentablemente no recibimos buenas noticias. La masa resultó ser un linfoma y el único tratamiento son 3-6 meses de quimioterapia.

Si conoces a Bibi, sabes que es una mujer gozoza, llena de fe, una esposa devota, madre maravillosa y la abuela más increíble. Ama a todos los que conoce y siempre da lo mejor de sí. Ella sirve muy bien a la comunidad, se preocupa por las personas y las ama como Jesús la amó a ella.

Mientras navegamos por la próxima temporada, primero pedimos oración por ella, mi papá y nosotros como familia, para que el Señor nos consuele y continúe llenándonos con Su gozo en esta temporada. Como se pueden imaginar, este diagnóstico viene con muchas visitas al médico y procedimientos que tienen altos costos incluso con seguro médico. Lo que Dios ponga en tu corazon y este dentro de tus posiblidades, es muy bien recibido y sera de gran bendicion. Gracias por su apoyo y amor en esta temporada. Confiamos en Dios y Su Soberanía y sabemos que Él está con todos nosotros en esta temporada.
