Hi everyone, it’s Kat and Rebecca, Beth’s two oldest daughters.

For those of you that don’t know, my mom has been fighting a non-healing wound since around September 2024. At that time, they were able to remove infected bones from her left foot. However, the closure never fully healed, and the infection came back full force and spread. By February 17th, the doctors decided that her best chance of healing was to remove her left leg from just below her knee. She is currently in a rehab facility that is monitoring her healing and helping her learn to walk with one leg.

But now, her home is inaccessible as she cannot get up the stairs safely. My sister Rebecca and I are starting this GoFundMe as an attempt to raise some funds to make the house wheelchair accessible and to potentially help with the cost of having a prosthetic made in the future once the amputation site is good and healed. We just want her to be able to have the best quality of life moving forward and allow her the independence she deserves.
