My daughter Beril was born far too early at just 25 weeks, and from her very first breath, she has known nothing but strength, courage, and the fight for survival inside a hospital incubator surrounded by machines and wires. Though her body is tiny and fragile, her spirit is powerful beyond words, and every day she continues to amaze us with her will to live.

Sadly, her journey is not over yet—Beril now needs an additional, life-saving bowel surgery that is necessary for her to have a chance at a healthy future. As her parent, watching her endure so much pain while feeling powerless to take it away has been the hardest experience of my life, and the medical costs have become overwhelming.
