Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

My name is Ben Clark, a Marine Corps veteran and caring dad. I am reaching out to you during a pivotal moment in my life. For the past two years, I have been engaged in a challenging and costly legal battle to secure equal custody of my awesome son. The journey has been filled with obstacles, but my love for him has fueled my determination to fight for what is right.

In many states, the court system often leans towards default arrangements that favor mothers, leaving fathers like me feeling helpless. Many fathers simply accept this outcome, but I could not. I firmly believe that all children deserve the love and support of both parents, and I was determined to ensure that my son has equal access to both his mother and me.

Despite the emotional toll, I persevered through the court process, facing numerous hearings and legal hurdles—all while having limited time with my amazing son. Thankfully, WE DID IT! I am achieving shared custody. With friends and family asking how they can help, I’m opening a go fund me to help with attorney fees (good ones are NOT cheap) that have accumulated during this lengthy battle.

I want to emphasize that this is not a criticism of my son’s mother; she is a wonderful mom who loves him dearly. My fight is about ensuring that our son has the best of both worlds and knows that he is deeply loved by both of us.
