The Community Run Club is an athleisure clothing brand and run club with chapters in several prominent cities within the United States, based in New York City.
They are determined to raise money through quarterly fundraising events, and 20% of all proceeds earned from apparel sales will be donated to underserved/underfunded causes within local communities.
This quarter, they are proud to raise money for the Brooklyn Emerging Leaders Academy (BELA) - an all Black and Brown Girls (and Gender nonconforming) Title One High School in Bedford-Stuyvestant, Brooklyn.
The school has an extraordinary student body and growing theatre program, but due to to unprecedented attacks on art programs in underserved communities, they need assistance to purchase wardrobe and technical equipment to host their third musical, Shrek! A joyful show about accepting who you are, and building a community that celebrates one another's differences, rather than criticizing them!
100% of donations from this GoFundMe will be sent to the BELA Theatre department to keep their performing arts program flourishing!
Additionally, CRC will be funding the race entry fee to the NYCRuns Brooklyn Half Marathon for the head of the BELA theatre department, Mx. Lane Bournan, to offer them a chance at winning prize monies in the non-binary category.
All donations gathered from CRC sales will be separate, and announced later at the end of the quarter! :)
