Andrew Cassidy is one strong individual! For 31 years he's overcome challenges related to his Cerebral Palsey - obtaining a 4-year college degree and working, to name only a couple grand accomplishments. The past few years, Andy was called on to care full-time for his father, Owen, who is 87 and struggling with dementia and various physical ailments. Owen was recently placed in a nursing facility to receive the skilled care he requires.
As the challenges to care for Owen rose, the sad news of Becky's terminal cancer diagnosis developed. The time from her diagnosis to her passing on June 13th was only four short weeks. Andy was again a champ, rising to the occasion of supporting Beck physically at home to the best of his capacity and then with her treatment decisions and end-of-life choices. It's been a whirlwind, and he has managed with grace and strength.
And now Andy needs our help! Andy's recent and dutiful service to his parents precluded him from working. He's living with family and conducting a supported job search. Becky was the sole source income for many years as an occupational therapist, and Owen's Social Security will now be directed to his nursing facility. With no reserves, Andy needs financial assistance as he gets on his feet to secure available government funding and a permanent job.
Any contribution will be exceptionally appreciated by Andy and those supporting his continued rise. Thank you dearly for your consideration and assistance. Please feel free to reach out to Doug Cassidy Jr. with any questions at all (contact below).
