I am Gina Nelson and I am raising funds to help a rescue rabbit named Beau I am currently fostering him through bunnyluv.org a rabbit rescue in North Hollywood.

Beau is an adorable white bunny who was abandoned to live on the streets of Los Angeles and fend for himself. We scooped him up and are in the hopes of finding him a permanent loving home, while we would love to keep Beau, we already have a household full of rescued animals. Bunny Love is a heroic nonprofit that serves the Los Angeles area and, like all rescues, is overwhelmed after the fires.

It was becoming obvious that Beau’s bottom front teeth were growing too long because he has a condition called malocclusion. Beau had a visit to the vets where they trimmed the extended teeth. When rabbits eat, their teeth wear one another down so that they remain a functional length, but with malocclusion, they grow too fast. In these cases, the vet will extract the offending teeth so that they don’t obstruct the bunny’s ability to eat and have a normal happy life.

The surgery is estimated to cost $2000 because it will also require anesthesia. Between the rescues that are now part of our family and the colony of feral cats that we feed daily, funds are pretty well tapped, or we would not reach out like this.

Any funds that are collected beyond the cost of the surgery will be donated to Bunny Love.
