Bear Valley Backcountry Center, California Ski Guides, and SWS Mountain Guides would like to replace the broken Avalanche Beacon Park at the Bear Valley with a modern BCA Wireless Beacon Training Park System for the Bear Valley Community, so everyone can easily maintain their Beacon Rescue skills for a safer community.

The BCA Wireless Beacon Training Park includes a portable weatherproof control panel, 8 transmitters with probe targets, signage, setup, and use instructions. California Ski Guides and Bear Valley Backcountry Center, located in the Bear Valley Lodge, have committed to maintaining the Beacon Training Park System and installing the system yearly for community use. We will also provide training sessions for the community during the winter months.
