My name is Scott, and for as long as I can remember, my family has opened our hearts and our home to children in need. My mother runs a nonprofit for women affected by domestic violence, and throughout my life, we have welcomed children who needed a safe place, sometimes caring for them for years. My brother, who is a foster child with mental illness, has been a constant reminder of how important it is to support kids who face challenges most of us can’t imagine. I’ve seen firsthand how much love, stability, and guidance can change a child’s life, and I know how vital it is to make sure that every child—especially those without families or support—feels seen, valued, and cared for.
Right now, there are children in the Bay Area—Oakland, San Francisco, San Jose, Richmond, and beyond—who are living on the streets with no one to turn to. Many have no access to government assistance, no idea where to go for help, and no one to guide them. These kids need more than just a meal or a bed for the night; they need someone to believe in them and help them start healing. That’s why I’m starting this project: to provide housing, clothing, meals, and mentorship for children who are homeless, foster children, and those struggling with mental health challenges. With your support, we can give them the foundation they need to build a better future—mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
We all walk past people in need every day, and it’s easy to feel like the problem is too big or that someone else will fix it. But real change starts with us. We can’t wait for the government or limited resources to solve these problems. It’s up to us—the people who care—to come together and make a difference. I’m asking you to join me in this mission. Your support will help create long-term stability and hope for children who need it most. Together, we can make the Bay Area, and our country, a better place for the next generation. Please help us make this vision a reality.
