Support Barbara Bradley After Hurricane Helene

Update 3/26/2025:
It's been a while since my last update.
Tomorrow marks the 6 month anniversary of the floods from Hurricane Helene. Barbara has purchaced a new doublewide to be put back on her property. Once the sitework is completed, it will be delivered. Even though we've been frustrated with the slow progress, it has been blessing. If you're from our area, you already know about the Black Cove wildfire. It has burned all the underbrush, and dried leaves on Barbara's property(and thousands of acres in her comminuty), and would have likely damaged or destroyed her new home. At this time, we're very thankful for the delays. The new photo shows the homesite that is being prepped a little farther up the hill to elevate her home to help protect it from any future high water events. Thank you all again for your support. More updates to come.

Update 11/10/2024:
The call for help has been heard, and we're blown away by the generosity of friends and strangers. I never thought this fund would get this much attention. As the days go by, we realize the Barbara will need more than the goal that has been set. The septic system may not be up to par. She may need a new well drilled. The list goes on and on. I had been thanking each contributor individually until last night, and now I just can't keep up. We can't thank everyone enough.
I've seen comments with concern about wether she'll actually get this money. I can assure it is going directly to Barbara (minus the gofundme fees). It's being transfered into her account daily.
Thanks again.

My name is Brian Estes, I live near Columbus, NC.
Hurricane Helene's destruction is widespread over many communities in WNC and more
Green River Cove hasn't gotten the news coverage of the more populated or commercialized areas. It was hit just as hard, wiping out the only road that gives access. The road has been patched up, thanks to several locals volunteering their own time and equipment, along with the D.O.T. that repaired the approaches at both bridges crossing the river, and repaired the missing road at Laurel Branch.
Now that the road is passable, moving on with life must get serious. My Mother-In-Law (Barbara Bradley), and much of her family live in the Cove. She has lived in the same trailer at 4063 Green River Cove Rd, that was bought new in 1973, until Helene brought the river up higher than she'd ever seen. The water/mud line left behind was above the light switches inside. The walls have buckled as well as the floor. I actually fell thru the floor while retrieving some of her personal belongings. Her home of more than 50 years is now uninhabitable. She had no insurance. She is retired, living on a single Social Security income. Her car was also completely submerged, and is a total loss.
She'll live with us as long as necessary (so no need for a tiny house or camper), but she wants to "Go Home".
I'm now asking for help for Barbara. We need to be able to get her home replaced. Every penny helps, and will add up in the end. It will be spent on the expenses of getting another home put on her property. Also, sharing this will let it be seen by many more people.
Thanks SO MUCH, in advance for anything you may give.
