Support Barb Ross: A Lifeline for a Caregiver
Donation protected
My name is Jesse McCarty, and I am the Director of HR Technology at Boise Cascade. I have spent the last three years working on the same team as someone extremely special. Her name is Barb Ross.
Barb is just “one of those people.” Everyone knows who Barb is and has a huge smile on their face when they talk about Barb. In today’s world of corporate America there is a clear line between work and life-but somehow Barb blends those two together and makes every single person she talks to feel like they are the most important person in her life. She is kind, happy, energetic, and an endless giver. Barb's actions are a constant reminder to be grateful for what you have. When I first met Barb it only took 30 minutes to be inspired by her and who she is. We have all met people like that, and for some, you can probably count the total number of them on one hand.
Barb is an amazing mother. Barb is an incredible grandmother. Barb is a special sister. Barb is everything you can imagine.
Barb is rare. She has worked for Boise Cascade for 36 years. This is just one sign of her unwavering commitment to something she puts her heart to, whether it’s a company, a person, or any ask. Barb needs help, and I am doing everything I can to drive a wave of support for her. She needs it more than ever.
Barb cares for her mother and her sister, who both live with her, and works full-time as a technology systems analyst. How she does that I will never understand and is almost impossible to understand when you see how she balances it all.
The health of those she is caring for has declined recently, and Barb needs help. At work, we have come together as a family to collect food donations to help her family. Medical bills pile up quickly, and they are not small.
Barb has been looking for a van that has electric-chair access, and usually those are very expensive, and almost impossible to find. Renting one just to get her sister to an appointment is very costly, and quite the burden just to locate. I am praying for a miracle that we can raise enough money that perhaps she can buy one, or at worst pay for some of the bills and other expenses that are piling up right now.
I am not creating this GoFundMe as someone who works with Barb, I am doing this as someone who considers her family and loves her. Please help. Every dollar makes a difference, and it all goes to Barb.
Barb would never ask for help, it’s just not her personality. But she needs it, and I am doing this on her behalf. Please, please help her. Thank you.
