For over a decade, Esther Mordechai, the founder of BAM Canada, has been a tireless advocate for abused women and marginalized members of the community. Her journey began with a simple yet powerful mission: to empower those in need and create a community where no one feels forgotten.

Through the support of compassionate community members, Esther has organized food drives, distributed grocery gift cards, and provided companionship to seniors and Holocaust survivors living below the poverty line. During Hannukah and Purim this year, BAM distributed thousands of dollars worth of grocery gift cards, ensuring that families could celebrate with dignity and joy.

But the need is growing. Every day, more women, seniors, and families face food insecurity, housing challenges, and the devastating effects of gender-based violence. BAM is committed to being a bridge to those in need, but we can’t do it alone.
