I'm the proud dad of 4 incredible kids, the latest (Tristan) arrived just over a week ago with a few complications following his birth. Tristan has been in the ICU since he was born due to a rare condition related to pulmonary hypertension, which has been improving slightly but still requires that he remain in the hospital for more tests. Today we're waiting to know the results of an echocardiogram and hoping for the best. The hospital only allows his mother to visit while he's there, so I've only met him briefly the day after he was born and he is yet to meet his older sisters and brother, who are super anxious to do so. In the meantime, I'm caring for the rest of the kids and trying to stay positive.

While paying off nearly $100k of credit card debt accrued as a result of medical expenses, raising 4 kids and a very unfortunate robbery which took out my life savings a number of years ago - from which I've still not recovered and has put considerable strain on life since then as a result. I'm currently looking at what medical equipment might be required in order to have Tristan at least at home with his family while still receiving the care he needs - various oxygen sensors and monitoring system, an oxygen breathing machine/ventilator, etc... and yet to determine what the total cost of such a setup would be, but still in the waiting period to know how serious the future will be. Funds from this GoFundMe would go to paying off Tristan's hospital bill along with other debt and ideally be enough to pay for any medical equipment that might be necessary for Tristan. PS: I've never done anything remotely like this and have never been comfortable asking for help in general, but I'm glad to provide more details on anything of interest to those who are curious to know more. Life has been amazing in general - glad to share.
