3/1/26 Update Below
Hello, we are Arlo and Annie. We're creating this GoFundMe on behalf of our cousins, Bryant and Sigrid, who mean so much to our family. As parents ourselves, we understand how overwhelming and scary this time has been for them. They are walking through one of the most difficult seasons of their lives as they fight for their baby girl, Nayla Bibiana. As their family, we want to step in and support them in any way we can during this tender and challenging time.
Over the past few months, their family has been on an unexpected and emotional medical journey. On November 30, Sigrid was rushed to the hospital due to serious pregnancy complications and underwent an emergency cerclage. She remained hospitalized for several days, facing uncertainty and worry, while medical bills quickly began to add up.
Then, on January 6, what was expected to be a routine prenatal check-up turned into another emergency when doctors discovered that her cervix had begun to open again. She was immediately admitted and underwent a second emergency cerclage. Following the procedure, Sigrid was placed on strict hospital bed rest until delivery. This hospitalization alone brought overwhelming medical expenses.
Despite every effort, their beautiful daughter, Nayla Bibiana, was born prematurely on January 21—much earlier than her original due date of April 2026. From her very first moments, Nayla has shown incredible strength. She is currently in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), receiving round-the-clock care as she grows stronger each day. In just the first two days, NICU charges reached thousands of dollars, and the costs continue to rise as her stay continues.
So far, medical expenses have already surpassed $14,000, not including the ongoing and anticipated NICU costs. These unexpected bills have placed a heavy financial strain on the family during a time when their focus should be on supporting and caring for Nayla.
We are humbly asking for support during this difficult time. Any contribution, big or small, will go directly toward medical expenses and easing the burden this family is carrying. If you are not able to donate, sharing this page or keeping them in your thoughts and prayers is deeply appreciated.
From the bottom of our hearts, Thank you for taking the time to read their story, for your kindness, and for any support. Your generosity will help Bryant and Sigrid focus on what matters most: being there for Nayla Bibiana as she continues her brave fight to grow stronger and come home.
