Support baby Mylo’s family

Donation protected
With the family’s permission I am sharing the story of 3 day old Mylo who is in intensive care awaiting Open heart surgery at GOSH.

They would like to raise awareness of little Mylos condition and show support to any other families that might be going through a similar thing.

The family are struggling with money at the moment so I thought it would be a beautiful idea if we all rallied a few pounds together to help them out …

So here goes it’s a bit of a long read but I thought it only be right that I include all the relevant details for you to truly understand what the family are going though…

If you know Demi you know how much of a pure kind beautiful ball of light she is and would do anything for anyone, great mum is an understatement Liam is a hard working, loving and fantastic dad to their 3 children.

Their family is their whole world and after finding out they was expecting their 3rd baby they were both nervous and excited to complete there beautiful little family…

but the excitement quickly turned into fear, worry, stress and anxiety as abnormalities where picked up during the gender scan after which they where then told to prepare for what was to follow

They where told the baby would be born with a variety of heart defects and was inundated with information to prepare themselves, meeting with doctors and enduring what felt like an endless amount of tests on their not yet born baby.

During this time they had to resume normal life and keep things as normal as possible for there other two children.

Mylo was born on 31st July Demi and Liam where not able to hold their baby as he was rushed away for an emergency procedure through his belly button to open a hole in the top and bottom of his heart this is planned to keep him stable until his open heart surgery at GOSH
following this procedure he was admitted to intensive care where he remained separated from his parents.

Mylos current Diagnosis is as follows:
Transposition of great arteries (TGA)
Ventricular septal defect (VSD)
Right Aortic Arch (RAA) and Right ductus arteriosus (RDA)
Mild Pulmonary valva stenosis (Vmax 144cm/sec)

Following the separation from there new born son Demi was admitted separately to the post natal ward this being extremely difficult for both parents as everyone else on the was enjoying there new born baby’s.

Baby mylo was then transferred to gosh where he remains in intensive care he will have a CT scan on Monday and the open heart surgery should take place in two weeks. Doctors currently cant give Demi and Liam a garentee of just how many surgeries Mylo will need nor can they estimate his recovery time

There other two children aged 5 and 2 are having to stay with their nan whilst both of them stay in accommodation provided by gosh. Parking at the accommodation is horrendous and they have already received 3 parking tickets as the permits they were given were not valid for the correct residential bays.

As well as the stress of this there youngest daughter Miya has been admitted in and out of hospital over the last year with numerous breathing problems no diagnosis and no known cause. Leaving them torn with the fact she can’t be with them.

We all know how difficult it is to reach out and ask for support in our hardest times Demi has been an absolute warrior through this all with Liam for support they have both just got on with it smiling and happy for the sake of keeping things normal for the other two kids and have never once asked for anything.

Finances are starting to become even more of a struggle with extra costs and basic essentials are becoming daunting purchases.

In times like this money should be the last thing they have to worry about if we rally together we can remove just a little bit of that worry from them

Any donations as little as a few pounds would be greatly received by the family

Peace and love to you all x x x x x
