Hi, my name is Tiffany, and I’ve created this GoFundMe on behalf of my incredible sister Tara, her loving fiancé Kyle, their sweet children Finn & Mac , and their newest little fighter—baby August.

At Tara’s 20 week scan, doctors discovered something wasn’t right. August was diagnosed with Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH)—a rare and life-threatening condition that occurs when the diaphragm doesn’t form properly, leaving a hole that allows organs to move into the chest and impact lung development. August condition is on the severe side and is given a 20-35% rate of survival.

Tara will be relocating to London, Ontario at 37 weeks pregnant. August will be delivered via C-section at 38 weeks under Dr. Banners care. The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Children's Hospital at London Health Sciences Centre is a Level III unit, which means they provide top-notch medical care for newborns. August will be in excellent hands. August will be transferred to the NICU for stabilization right after he is born before his repair surgery. They are expected to have August in the Nicu for 3-4 months but the road to recovery is full of uncertainties.

This GoFundMe is to help ease the financial burden on Tara and Kyle—covering bills, travel, and essential costs—so they can continue to be fully present with Finn, Mac and August as he fights the biggest battle of his life.
