Yesterday, June 20th our daughter Lauren was sent via Med Flight from Joplin to Children’s Mercy. 31 weeks pregnant and needing specialized medical care for our unborn grandchild. This morning through an emergency c-section our daughter and son-n-law Lauren and Harry Bechtle welcomed the newest edition to our family, Aspyn Louise. She weighs 1 lb. 8 oz. and is 12 inches long. Baby Aspyn is a strong baby girl with the love and strength of her two sisters, mom, dad and family. She’s already a little fighter making her way to us a few months sooner than expected. At this time they are a one income family with Harry being the only one working. Harry is a hard working husband/dad and veteran but needs to be near Lauren and Aspyn. We are still learning the details on why baby Aspyn needed to come early but it will be a VERY long stay at Children’s Mercy while Baby Aspyn overcomes a few medical conditions and is able to come home. First, we would love all the prayers for this strong baby girl we can get♥️. Second, mom and dad could really use all the support they can get financially to relieve the burden of Harry traveling from the Joplin area to Children’s Mercy and missing work while he’s by Lauren and Aspyns side.
