My name is Azja Hermida and I’m raising funds on behalf of my mother, a 60-year-old senior citizen who was violently assaulted inside our apartment complex by a group of teenagers. My mother is completely innocent, gentle, and would never hurt anyone. This attack has left her physically injured, emotionally traumatized, and living in constant fear.

What makes this situation even more heartbreaking is that the individuals who assaulted her were not arrested and still live directly across from our unit. Despite police being called, no meaningful action was taken, and my mother is now forced to see the people responsible for her trauma every day.

Since the incident, my mother has been experiencing panic attacks, severe anxiety, and ongoing fear for her life. She no longer feels safe in her own home a place that should bring peace, not terror. As a senior citizen, this has taken a tremendous toll on her mental and emotional well-being. We are urgently trying to raise funds to help her relocate to a safe environment where she can begin to heal. The funds raised will go toward:

First month’s rent and security deposit

Moving expenses

Emergency housing costs

Basic living expenses during the transition

This move is not a luxury it is a necessity for her safety and mental health.
