Support Ayman's Family: From Camps to Shelter

Dear Friends - My name is, Devin Miller, and I’m from California. And I need your help to raise money for a beautiful family of 8 in Gaza. They need transportation out of the camps and supplies to begin rebuilding and furnishing a home in which they can live.

For the last year, I have been in very close contact with the youngest son, Ayman (we speak every other day). He is the dearest of friends to me. My mom, brother and I have been able to help his family in a few ways.

But today, I am asking for your help. I’m asking for your HELP to get them OUT of the camps and to a real shelter.

Ayman’s family has been living in a tent in Rafah since 2023, when the apartment that they owned in Gaza City, was leveled in the bombings.

With the ceasefire in place, I am raising money for their, and their possessions, transportation to Ayman’s uncle’s home in the Zeitoun district of Gaza City - as well as supplies to completely start over in life.

Ayman’s uncle’s home is very damaged, but still inhabitable. The Haweela family will live in the second story until their apt building is rebuilt - which could take quite some time.

The second story is missing windows, has no furniture, supplies, anything - their is much repair that needs to be done.

Another terrible challenge they have faced is the exorbitant prices of absolutely everything in Gaza. To get their family and belongings to Zeitoun, it will cost $600.

Things like a dozen eggs costs $50 and a bag of flour $200 - if they can even find it! Everyone’s bank accounts in Gaza have been frozen and drained. They have nothing.

Nothing, except for hugely gracious hearts, beautiful faith, incredible resiliency, fervent hope and a glimmer of joy in their hearts that peace has come, even if just for a short while.

The Haweela family are some of the kindest, warmest, bravest and most peaceful people I have encountered in my life.

Please will you help me help them?!? There is no amount too small or too big. Together, let’s do some good in the world!
