Hii, I’m Ava, and I’m so excited to celebrate my Bat Mitzvah with all of you! I was placed into foster care when I was born, and by the time I was four, I had already lived with three different families, in addition to my birth mother. During this time, I was lucky enough to be assigned a CASA volunteer, who stood by me, advocated for my needs, and gave me a voice when things were really confusing. This amazing person supported me through my adoption process when I was about six years old.

For my Bat Mitzvah project, I want to give back to CASA of Frederick, the organization that made a difference in my life and the lives of many other kids like me. My goal is to raise funds to support their work, ensuring that every child in foster care has someone to fight for them, just as CASA fought for me. I’m asking for your help—any donation you can give will help CASA continue their vital work. Together, we can ensure every child feels heard, supported, and valued.
