Years later, the Epstein Victims' Compensation Program was formed to pay out tens of millions of dollars to Epstein's victims, but Ava has been unfairly excluded for undisclosed reasons. Transphobia may be a factor. Today, Ava is living in a squalid homeless shelter in New York City, struggling to survive and cope with the trauma she has endured for years.

Ava's life was sent into a tailspin after the abuse. She turned to sex work, was reduced to poverty, became addicted to hard drugs, and acquired AIDS. She has spent time in prison for various minor offenses. Epstein lured her with the promise of a modeling job, but instead subjected her to repeated abuse for over a year. Despite everything, Ava continues to fight for her dignity and survival.
