Support ASRC for John's 4x4x48 Challenge!

Hi Everyone!

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. On the weekend of March 10-12, I will be doing the 4x4x48 Challenge, a running challenge made famous by retired Navy Seal and ultra marathon runner David Goggins. For those not familiar with this challenge, it consists of running 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours (total of 48 miles). My journey will begin at 4pm on Friday March 10th and will finish by 4pm on Sunday March 12th. I have ramped up training for this over the past month and am excited to get going!

As part of this challenge, I am raising money for Autism Services and Resources Connecticut (ASRC), whose mission is: to provide lifelong access to opportunities for persons on the autism spectrum with the goal of being fully-included and participating members of their communities. ASRC supports those diagnosed with autism and their families with various resources including navigating school system advocacy, connections to parent support groups, one on one coaching with experienced parent coaches, and support during the transition into adulthood. I chose this organization in support of my son Tyler, who was diagnosed with Autism this past September. While working through this has brought its fair share of challenges, I am so thankful that there are organizations out there to provide us with strong resources at the local level, and hope this can bring awareness to others in the same situation.

I am mapping out 4 mile routes around Bethel throughout the weekend, exact details TBD. Please reach out if you’d like to join me for a leg or two, as I’m always open to running buddies. I also plan to document my progress on the various social media channels throughout the weekend, so stay tuned!
