Hello everyone! My name is Austin Hocking, and I’m a student at the University of Missouri (Mizzou). This winter, I have the incredible opportunity to travel to the Dominican Republic with Mizzou Global Medical Training (GMT) for a medical and dental mission trip.
Our team will work alongside local doctors and dentists to provide free healthcare, dental care, and education to underserved communities that have limited access to medical resources. We’ll learn hands-on clinical skills, assist with patient care, and support those in need, all while gaining real-world experience that will help us grow into future professionals and compassionate leaders.
This trip is entirely self-funded, which means each student is responsible for covering their travel, lodging, and program expenses. My goal is to raise money to help make this opportunity possible. Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward making this service trip a reality.
If you’re able to give, share this page, or simply offer encouragement, I’d be so grateful. Thank you for helping me take part in something that will truly make a difference, not just for the people we’ll serve, but for everyone involved in learning how to care for others.
