Aubrielle is a sweet, loving 8 year old girl who was diagnosed with very high risk ALL leukemia at just 2 years old and spent 3 1/2 fighting for her life. Unfortunately the time has come she yet again has to face this traumatizing battle. On September 4th she was diagnosed with a relapse of her leukemia and immediately underwent surgery to place a port, take bone marrow samples, and start her spinal taps in which they use intrathecal chemotherapy to kill off the cells in her spinal fluid. Aubrielle, who is usually such a happy silly kid, is struggling with being stuck in the hospital receiving chemotherapy and spinal taps twice weekly so far for the next 28-36 days. Her mother, Jennifer, is a single mom of Aubrielle and her 4 siblings (2, 3, 9, 10) who just lost her job and is unable to work due to the chemo Aubrie will have to undergo at home and traveling back and forth an hour away at UF Shands for her treatment. Jennifer is not only struggling emotionally, but also financially as she lost her only source of income. She has no outside help financially and has had to split up her kids amongst friends and not able to see her other children as she has been hospital bound with her sick child. Aubrie also will have to be homeschooled during this time. Many of us have seen the effects cancer can have on a person and their loved ones, but not many have had to witness the effects on a child. Nothing can compare to the heartbreak and emotional distress of a child having to go through such a terrible thing, especially when it’s your own, but we are trying to help take some of the financial stress off of the struggling mom. Please help us try to raise donations to support Aubrielle’s needs. Some of which include but are not limited to medication and hospitalization expenses, household expenses (rent, electric, internet for her schooling), gas back and forth to the hospital, food at home and at the hospital, daycare expenses for the 2 babies so that they can continue to go while Aubrielle is home doing her new home education. Cancer is a disgusting disease, but together we can help this family and beautiful little girl ease some of the burdens and fight this once and for all.
