Support Atticus: Urgent help needed for his healing journey

Hi, my name is Susie Lewis, and I’m creating this GoFundMe on behalf of a cherished member of our Deep Run community family. Just a few days ago, Ildiko Drauschak’s son, Atticus—a bright and kind 8th grader at Short Pump Middle School—was tragically struck by a vehicle and is now in the ICU. His loving big sister, Ilona, a 10th grader at Deep Run High School, and the rest of their devoted family have remained by his side every moment since the accident.

Atticus has been in the ICU for three days, and while his family remains strong, the situation has brought many unexpected challenges. Ildiko is currently away from work to be with her son around the clock, and relatives have traveled from out of town to support them. We’re raising funds to help relieve the financial burden so Ildiko can continue to focus entirely on Atticus’s care without the added stress of immediate expenses.

Due to the severity of his injuries, Atticus’s recovery may take weeks—or even months. The need for support from friends, family, and our greater community is more important now than ever.
