Just a few days ago, Ildiko Drauschak’s son, Atticus—a bright and kind 8th grader at Short Pump Middle School—was tragically struck by a vehicle and is now in the ICU. His loving big sister, Ilona, a 10th grader at Deep Run High School, and the rest of their devoted family have remained by his side every moment since the accident.

<div>Atticus has been in the ICU for three days, and while his family remains strong, the situation has brought many unexpected challenges. Ildiko is currently away from work to be with her son around the clock, and relatives have traveled from out of town to support them. We’re raising funds to help relieve the financial burden so Ildiko can continue to focus entirely on Atticus’s care without the added stress of immediate expenses.
