Jesus was arrested in the ICE sweep in Maryland in early August, was transferred to three different detention centers and is now away from his family in a New Mexico detention center. The family fled to the United States in fear 5 years ago after a brother-in-law was killed by drug trafficking gangs - this tragic event was the culmination of years of extortion and attacks against Jesus, his brother-in-law and his grocery business.

Jesus’ wife, Daniela, there with the children from MoCo high school, and Daniela’s widowed sister are doing everything possible to find work to replace Jesus’ income and fight for his freedom. Their efforts to apply for asylum stalled due to COVID policies, but they are seeking asylum once again to keep Jesus out of danger. Without Jesus’ income, the family is struggling and needs your help.
