My name is Ashley, mother of 5 children. For the past 7 years, I've taken care of my children's father, whose name is Dana. Dana & I have 2 daughters together, ages 14 & 12. Dana's health has slowly been deteriorating over the years from 3 strokes, partial leg amputation, chronic aspiration, feeding tube, output tubes and bags, heart failure, kidney failure which led to dialysis, broken back, and multiple skin breakdown areas which led to serious infections and surgeries. This last year, Dana is no longer walking or verbal.

I've been struggling to manage a full-time job, being a mother to 5, and a full-time live-in caregiver for Dana.

We've never really had help, so everything always landed on my shoulders from bills, appointments, meals, cleaning, upkeep, errands, and maintaining relationships. Some may call me a superhero, but I call it an act of love. It's my calling in life, I feel like.

I'm asking for help just for a little while so I can have a cushion to process everything, especially after my tragic loss of the rare ectopic pregnancy I experienced in my personal life & now this.
