Our dear friend and local teacher, Ashley True, is a devoted wife to Joey and loving mother to two beautiful daughters—Savannah (2 years old) and Madison (5 months old). Ashley is 32 years old and works as a kindergarten teacher in Rohnert Park. She and her husband, Joey, both grew up in Petaluma and met in high school. Together, they have built a life centered around love, hard work, and family.

Joey, 36, has ran a landscaping business for many years that has provided for their growing family. Tragically, Joey was diagnosed with cancer a few years ago. He has fought so hard and has since undergone multiple surgeries and treatments. Despite their hopes and efforts, the treatments were not successful. Joey passed peacefully at home, surrounded by Ashley and their little girls. This unimaginable situation has placed an immense emotional and financial burden on their family, especially since Joey has been unable to work. As Ashley continues to care for herself and her sweet girls, the community has an opportunity to step in and support them during this heartbreaking time.
