Venmo: AshleyLozada2015
The Lozadas, Ashley, Chino, and Armani, are in need of assistance for expenses related to her complicated pregnancy.
Ashley suffers from Crohn's disease, and due to some of her medications to treat this disease, she was diagnosed with cervical cancer. This resulted in the removal of her cervix. While her uterus is still intact, the only method of her being able to get pregnant is through IVF. Earlier this year, she found out she was pregnant with a baby boy! Unfortunately, at 13 weeks, her amniotic fluid started leaking. The doctors recommended a dilation and curettage to remove the baby. Ashley rejected this decision, as her baby still had a strong heartbeat and was showing no signs of distress. Over the following weeks, we've seen glimmers of hope. Baby boy has maintained a strong heartbeat/rate, and he still had a small pocket of fluid around him. Recently, they were able to see on ultrasound that he had urine in his bladder, which is a sure sign that there is at least some fluid around him (this helps him to grow more easily, especially his lungs).
Due to the complications, Ashley was told she would be able to be admitted to the hospital in Green Bay, Wisconsin for monitoring and treatment once she reached 22 weeks of pregnancy. The doctors at this hospital have the resources needed to treat Ashley's unique situation. This is especially crucial for her, since she does not have a cervix, her going into labor could result in tears in her uterus and hemorrhaging. She was admitted this past Wednesday, 4/22/26, and we are taking it day by day. Baby has had prolonged periods of low heart rates the past two evenings, probably due to cord compression from low fluid in the amniotic sac. He does seem to recover and maintain his heart rate during the day and in the later parts of the night/early morning. If he goes through a longer period of having a low heart rate, the providers will have to perform an emergency c-section. The outcome of what is going to happen quite literally changes from moment to moment. Due to this, Chino is taking FMLA, without pay, to be with Ashley in Green Bay. Hopefully, baby's heart rate will maintain and baby can keep growing for a few more months before he needs to be taken out.
We're asking for help with costs for Ashley and Chino being out of work, as well as traveling expenses. If you're reading this and know them, I don't need to tell you how incredible this family is. Chino is the first person his friends and family call when they need help, and he doesn't hesitate to make sure he's there for them. Ashley is an incredible wife and mother. She shows kindness to everyone she encounters and is an integral part of her church. Please consider assisting them in their time of need. Anything helps. God Bless.
