- “As many of you know, Asheville, NC was absolutely and very quickly, devastated by hurricane Helene. In the past decades, Asheville has put itself on the map in the tattoo community at large, and Buncombe county alone houses 200+ permitted artists. While rebuilding efforts are on their way, the amount of damaged property and places is continuing to skyrocket. Many of these artists have lost not just their homes, but also their places of business, and many more will be unable to return to their practice for the foreseeable future until power, running water, and stability is returned to our city. As self employed individuals, navigating this tumultuous upheaval is not easy, and many of us will not be given aid or unemployment. These relief funds will be distributed amongst the effected artist community to help keep us afloat and hopefully help those most affected, to rebuild and survive during these trying and uncertain times. Please help us support this community and making sure that we can keep Asheville a city made for self expression. “
