Hello, my name is Aryam Pérez Mendoza.

I’m a father doing everything I can to stay present in my little girl’s life. My daughter, Iris Jade, is my heart—an energetic, bright toddler who lights up every FaceTime call.

Over a year ago, circumstances changed suddenly, and Iris Jade and her mother relocated from Florida to Illinois. Since then, I’ve had no physical contact with my daughter. Despite the distance and financial strain, I’ve continued to send monthly support and provide for her needs, even when money was tight.

Now I’m working with legal aid in Illinois to establish a formal custody and parenting plan so that Iris Jade can have both parents safely and consistently in her life. Unfortunately, I currently live in Puerto Rico and have very limited resources. The legal process requires travel, certified documents, and court-related costs that I simply can’t afford on my own.

All donations will go directly toward:

✈️ Travel expenses to Illinois for court hearings and visitation

Certified public-record and court document fees (police and child-services reports)

⚖️ Legal-filing and mailing costs associated with the custody case

Short-term lodging and transportation near the courthouse while the case is active

Every contribution—large or small—brings me one step closer to seeing my daughter in person and ensuring she grows up with stability, love, and both parents involved in her future.

I’m not asking for anything extravagant—only the chance to stand before a court, present the facts honestly, and be the father my daughter deserves. I’m documenting every step carefully and staying respectful and transparent through the process.
