**Help Us Support Our Dad in His Fight Against Liver Cancer**

Family isn’t always about biology — it’s about love, sacrifice, and showing up, day after day. When our mom married the man we now proudly call “Dad,” my sister and I were teenagers. We were old enough to know what kind of father we didn’t have… and what kind of father we desperately needed. From the beginning, he stepped into our lives with quiet strength, endless patience, and unconditional love — not just for our mom, but for us, too.

Years later, as adults, we asked him to adopt us. We didn’t need to — he’d already been our dad in every way that matters. But we wanted to make it official, because he is the greatest man we’ve ever known. He showed us what a real father is: someone who chooses you, stands by you, and loves you like you’re his own — because to him, we always were.

Now, he needs *us* to stand by him.

Our dad has been diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of liver cancer. The road ahead is uncertain, but we know it will involve years of treatment and many tough days. His care requires regular travel to a cancer center 2.5 hours away. Our mom will be his caregiver and support system, meaning she will have to stop working in order to be by his side — driving him to appointments, staying with him during treatments, and nursing him through recovery.

We’re starting this GoFundMe to help cover the many expenses this journey will bring: travel, lodging, medical bills, and lost income. Our parents have always put family first. Now we’re asking for help so we can do the same for them.
