Today we open this message from the heart to share an important situation and ask for your support.

Mamo Lorenzo Izquierdo, spiritual leader of the Arhuaco people of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, dedicates his life to maintaining the balance between human beings, nature, and the spirits that sustain life.

His mission as a Mamo is to maintain the harmony of Mother Earth through prayer, offerings, and spiritual guidance to his community and to those seeking to reconnect with their origins.

The Mamos walk a life of profound service to protect the balance of the world. However, like any family, they also face material needs.

Right now, Mamo Lorenzo needs to raise $6,000 to rebuild his parents' house and repair the roof of his in-laws' house in the Sierra Nevada.

The rainy season is beginning, and the current structures do not offer the necessary protection.

In the tradition of his people, it is the responsibility of children to support their elders and their family when the time comes. In this cycle, that responsibility falls to him.

That's why we're launching this solidarity campaign, so that together we can help these families have a safe roof over their heads before the heaviest rains reach the mountains.
