Support Ares' Cybersecurity Dream at UMD

Hi! I’m making this gofundme for my little brother Ares (pronounced Air- rees) who was recently accepted in University of MD. He’s majoring in Cybersecurity (awesome? I KNOW!) and plans to start in the Fall. In addition to that, Ares was offered the opportunity to enroll in a cybersecurity program that would afford him a job postgrad and for part of his tuition to be paid. As his older sister, it is my role to ensure that he sees this through (which he will). Anyone that knows Ares’ character (and mine) knows that anything we want to accomplish, gets done! Attending UMD with my brother is my wildest dream. He’s truly an amazing young man and his passion for being not only a great man for his family, but the world around him is incredibly inspiring. Unfortunately, Ares is experiencing similar challenges I faced in my undergraduate career. It was the people around me that helped me see it through and it’s my goal to ensure that he experiences that same support and community. The program is $1,500 and although Ares would absolutely find a way to do it alone, I would love to be able to help him alongside his community. His energy should be focused strictly on pursuing his academic dreams. I would bet my last dollar on him and not to say anyone else should, but it’s a dollar worth investing. Anything helps!
