URGENT REQUEST FOR DONATIONS – HELP US STAY OPEN FOR OUR COMMUNITY

Community Pay It Forward is at a critical point. Their current structure is no longer viable, and without securing a permanent one immediately, they will be forced to stop operating.

This shop is more than a building, it’s a lifeline. They provide essential support, resources, and hope to families and individuals in need. Every day they help people who are struggling to get by, and right now, they are the ones in need of help.

Until a new permanent structure is secured, they cannot continue serving the community or assisting families who depend on them. Time is critical.

Community Pay it Forward is a special shop founded by my mother, April Brightshue. It's a place where families in need can get essential items for their homes and daily life for free. From linens and furniture to kitchenware and clothing, the shop offers a variety of items donated by the community.

This year, Community Pay it Forward has gained more recognition and has outgrown its current small area. The shop is currently located on my mother's property in a small carport attached to a dilapidated garage. She runs electric from her main garage and uses portable heaters to stay warm in the winter and plug in fans in summer. My mother works tirelessly to help those in need, sacrificing many sleepless nights.

I've started a GoFundMe campaign to raise money to purchase or build a new structure for the shop. This past snow storm took out both of her portable car ports. This new space would have electric, running water, and heat, providing a laundry room, sorting and storage area, and a proper store setup. With your help, we can make Community Pay it Forward flourish and continue to help families in need.

Community Pay it Forward hosts big events like Easter and Christmas, providing families with essential items and holiday cheer. This Christmas, the shop gave away filled stockings, toys, decorations, trees, and lights to many families. Despite facing challenges like lack of space and help, my mother continues to push forward because she knows there are families who rely on her shop for support.

My mother (April Brightshue) works tirelessly to run Community Pay it Forward year round, with the help of a few amazing volunteers who dedicate countless hours to the cause. She doesn't receive any monetary gain from the shop and relies solely on donated goods to help those in need.
