We’re heading into one of the busiest travel seasons of the year, and here in the Fox Valley that means our neighbors at Appleton International Airport are showing up every day to keep us safe, get families where they need to go, and keep things running smoothly.
But right now, they’re doing it without the basic security of a reliable paycheck.
Because of the ongoing partial government shutdown, TSA agents (who are federally funded through the Department of Homeland Security) have gone weeks without timely pay. These are essential workers. They don’t get to stay home or pause. They show up anyway - for us.
That’s not right.
Here in Wisconsin, when something’s wrong, we step up for our neighbors.
So we’re organizing a community-driven effort to support TSA workers at Appleton International Airport with grocery cards, gas cards, and essential supplies. We're going to try to offer some real, immediate help for families who shouldn’t be put in this position in the first place.
If you’re able, please consider contributing. Every dollar will go directly toward supporting TSA workers in our community.
And if you can’t give, sharing this effort helps just as much.
This isn't political; it's community.
Let’s take care of our own.
