My name is Liliana (Lily) Ramirez, and I am reaching out with a broken heart to ask for your help supporting my brother's family. My sweet 2-year-old nephew, Antonio, was recently diagnosed with Leukemia. Antonio is the son of my only brother, Julián Fernando Ramos, and his wife, Alexandra Valencia. They also have an 8-year-old son, Emilio, who is very worried about his little brother. Aside from my youngest daughter - Andrea, my husband - Luis, and myself, they have no other family here to lean on during this difficult time. I hope that each of you will help me give them the support they deserve.

This diagnosis has turned their world upside down physically, emotionally, and financially. Although there is little comfort I can provide emotionally, I’m hoping that this fundraiser can help lighten at least a part of the overwhelming financial strain. Antonio will need a minimum of 2.5 years of chemotherapy treatments, as well as his mom's full-time care -- drastically reducing their income.

Although they are experiencing daunting changes in their lives, this money will not only help get Antonio the treatments he needs, but help keep their family living in the same apartment, allow Emilio to attend the same school, and, overall, maintain some stability during these difficult times.

Every donation, no matter the size, will help provide relief so they can focus on what truly matters: supporting Antonio through this illness.

Este diagnóstico ha cambiado su mundo por completo —física, emocional y financieramente—. Aunque hay poco consuelo que puedo ofrecerles emocionalmente, tengo la esperanza de que esta recaudación de fondos pueda aliviar al menos una parte de la gran carga económica que enfrentan. Antonio necesitará un mínimo de 2 años y medio de tratamientos de quimioterapia, además del cuidado de tiempo completo de su mamá, lo cual ha reducido drásticamente sus ingresos.

Aunque están enfrentando cambios muy difíciles en sus vidas, este dinero no solo ayudará a que Antonio reciba los tratamientos que necesita, sino también a que su familia pueda seguir viviendo en el mismo apartamento, que Emilio continúe asistiendo a la misma escuela, y que, en general, puedan mantener algo de estabilidad durante estos tiempos tan duros.
