Supporting Antonio and His Family in Their Fight Against ALS

For the past few years, it has been our privilege to work alongside Antonio De Pina. If you've had the chance to know him, you know him for his brilliant smile, his quiet strength, and his incredible work ethic. As a custodian, Antonio is one of the hardest working individuals we have ever known—a man who took immense pride in his work and his ability to provide for his family.

Driven by a powerful dream, Antonio spent the last two years working tirelessly on weekend overtime projects. He never missed a single day. His goal was simple and profound: to build a better life for his family. His dedication paid off. Recently, he achieved two major milestones he had worked so hard for: he saved enough to buy his family their first home and a reliable new vehicle to get to and from work.

We share this to show you the kind of man Antonio is—a planner, a provider, and a fighter.

Recently, however, we noticed Antonio wasn't himself. During those weekend shifts, he wasn't feeling well. We urged him, week after week, "Antonio, you need to go see a doctor." He would always agree, but his focus remained on his work and his family. As time went on, it became clear this was more serious. We finally sat down with him and insisted he seek medical attention immediately.

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share Antonio's devastating diagnosis: ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis).

This progressive neurodegenerative disease has already forced Antonio to stop working. The man who never missed a day is now facing the fight of his life. The same strength and determination he poured into his work, he must now channel into a battle against this illness.

The family he worked so hard to provide for now faces immense challenges, including overwhelming medical bills, the cost of home adaptations, and the loss of his income.

We are starting this fundraiser to honor Antonio’s dedication and to support him and his family during this incredibly difficult time. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly to Antonio and his family to help ease their financial burden and allow them to focus on what truly matters: his health, his comfort, and their time together.
