Hello everyone!

I am Josh, a Middle School teacher in the Rio Grande Valley, the Southern most part of Texas.

This fundraiser, however, is not for me, but for my dad, Antonio Velazquez, who was recently diagnosed with stomach cancer.

The pictures I provided, were taken just a few months ago. He was living a happy-healthy life: enjoying retirement, his grandchildren, exploring Mexico where he is from... But everything changed when we discovered he had Stage 4 Stomach Cancer.

The man in the pictures , is no longer the man that I see when I go visit him. He is very sick, he is very tired, he is in a lot of pain, yet this man finds a way to keep a positive attitude when his body is shutting down on him.

I didn't want to include pictures of his current state because I don't seek pity: I seek compassion and support.

My mother, siblings and I are doing all we can to help him, but his treatment, traveling expenses, blood transfusions, medical exams are just a little too much for us to handle.
