My father, Antonio Seda, is a 75-year-old stroke and heart attack survivor whose strength and will to live have carried him through the most difficult battles of his life. After weeks in the hospital, he is now being discharged—but our family is faced with a heartbreaking challenge. Insurance will not cover the essential medical equipment he needs to live safely at home: a Hoyer lift, a wheelchair ramp, and mobility accessibility tools.
