Support Anthi’s Recovery After Hate Crime

Donation protected
On March 29th around 10 PM, my girlfriend Anthi was physically assaulted by two men at a concert. One man grabbed her neck, threw her to the ground, and punched her, while another stomped on her face. There was no security, and nobody stepped in to stop the attack or help her up. The perpetrator attempted to continue the assault outside until a friend and I intervened. We do not know who these men are. This assault led to a broken cheekbone (ZMC fracture), a long and frightening night at the ER, and conversations with police, crisis workers, and a facial trauma surgeon.

Anthi is deeply shaken by the ordeal. Despite protecting me and our friend Kylie from the chaos and violence of the crowd, she paid the price for her bravery. We suspect this was a targeted hate crime, as the perpetrator made comments that justified harming a trans woman who was protecting her partner and friend. The medical costs alone are overwhelming, and we are facing expenses for therapy, medication, future legal costs, and rent during her recovery.

We are asking for support to help cover these urgent expenses. Your generosity will help Anthi get the surgery she needs, pay for ongoing medical bills, and provide stability as she recovers. We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support from the LGBT community, friends, family, and anyone else who is disturbed or affected by this. Anything helps, and every donation makes a difference.
