Support ANPA to stop the roll out of Inklings

The Australian Neurodivergent Parents Association is currently taking legal steps to ensure that the Inklings program is not delivered in Australia.

To prosecute this matter at law, we need your help covering our legal fees.

We are fundraising to meet the cost of a retainer for our legal team.

What is Inklings?

Inklings is a highly experimental program that trains parents to condition babies behaviour so they appear less outwardly Autistic.

The Inklings program teaches children to do what is known as "masking" which is considered harmful in the Autism community and encourages and reinforces direct eye contact, face-to-face interaction, social gestures, pretend play and 'social smiling'

The express purpose of the program is to ensure children are not diagnosed. It won't make kids not Autistic.

It will just ensure they have less access to support. This will particularly impact kids from low socio economic backgrounds, for whom the NDIS and school funding in a public school are their only Disability support option.

No diagnosis? No access to the NDIS or school based funding such as Integration Funding Support.

It's a short term cost saving measure. Our kids are a quick fix for Labor to save money on the NDIS in the next decade, and that's it.

This will:

1. Cause long-term harm to Autistic children, as masking has been linked to poor mental health and increased risk of suicide in adulthood.

2. Cause escalating school refusal or "school can't" as children are unable to access supports in schools due to a lack of diagnosis, as well as present risks to the safety and wellbeing of teachers and other students; creating escalating WHS risks;

3. Inflate rates of incarceration, substance dependence, suicide, self-harm, hospital admissions, and domestic violence as these children grow into unsupported teens and adults;

4. Pass the costs of support back to families to meet, who will be unable to access the NDIS due to a lack of diagnosis.

5. Set the ND-affirming movement back decades, and affirm the clinical medical model of Autism.

There is an indication to suggest that the Federal government are ramping up to deliver this program in early childhood centres throughout Australia.

It is important to note that media releases about the program do not match the program details.

Make no mistake:

Inklings is not a nice play-based intervention designed to affirm bonds.

The Inklings Program is here to save the Albanese government money by conditioning Autistic children to appear less Autistic so they do not meet diagnostic criteria.

Without a diagnosis, families will not have access to the NDIS or school-based funding they are entitled to and are at risk of being without critical support.

The short, medium and long-term consequences are dire.

ANPA is making a circle of protection around these babies and their vulnerable families.

We need your backing to get the job done.

Please donate and link arms with us in keeping these kids safe.
